Use the message shown on your signing page to choose the next step.

The signing link is invalid or has expired

Check your inbox for a newer invitation. A corrected or reassigned recipient gets a new link, and the old link stops working.

If you do not have a newer invitation, contact the sender. Ask them to check the request and recipient details.

Your turn has not started yet

The sender may have arranged people in signing stages. Wait until your stage becomes active. Select Retry to check the latest state.

No action is needed from you

Your step is already complete. For a group where any one person can respond, another person may have completed the stage.

The request is closed

A declined, cancelled, or expired request cannot continue. Contact the sender if you still need to complete the document.

The signature button is unavailable

Before you select Sign & approve, check that you have:

  • Verified your email.

  • Completed every required field under Your details.

  • Entered your Full legal name.

  • Created or selected a signature.

  • Read and selected the consent checkbox.

For an approval request, complete the required details and select the approval consent checkbox. You do not need to create a signature.

The document or request will not load

If the page offers Retry, select it. Check your connection and reload the invitation if the problem continues.

If the PDF controls are available, try Open in new tab. Contact the sender if you still cannot review the document.

The signature could not be submitted

Check for a confirmation before trying again. The request may have changed while you were reviewing it.

If the error continues, tell the sender the document name and the exact error message. Do not send your verification code.
