RakeSign can import a DocuSign template JSON export that contains its documents.

Import the file

  1. Open Templates.

  2. Select Import from DocuSign.

  3. Choose the template's JSON export file.

  4. Read the import result and any warnings.

  5. Find the imported template and select Edit.

If RakeSign says the file is not a DocuSign template export with documents, check that you selected the template JSON with its document content.

Review before using the template

  • Check every document and page.

  • Review recipient roles and signing order.

  • Check signature, initials, date, and other fields against the PDF.

  • Add missing signature fields before sending.

  • Review the invitation message, deadline, and reminder settings.

Save the reviewed template. Use Use template to create a fresh draft and assign the actual recipients.

What can need manual work?

  • Fields placed only through text anchors are skipped.

  • Fields without a RakeSign equivalent are skipped.

  • Carbon copy recipients are skipped. Add them when you send.

  • Some recipient types and individual recipient notes are not kept.

  • Only the first ten documents are imported.

  • The email message is shortened if it exceeds 2,000 characters.

Read the warnings for your file. A successful import still needs a content and field review before you send an agreement.
